Positive Happiness Introduction
Welcome to Positive Happiness - my personal mind-hacking theory that allows you to take control and improve your life, become successful and achieve anything you want!
Positive Happiness in a nutshell
I was once asked to explain the concept of Positive Happiness in five sentences. Tough ask. There is a lot of information, experiments, and research that I base the theory on and to boil it down to just five little sentences did not seem right. In fact it was easier to go for three instead:
Being positive will make you happy.
Being happy will make you positive.
Being positive AND happy will make you positively happy!
Sounds too simple right? I totally agree. I cannot really explain the beauty of Positive Happiness in just three sentences but if I could only ensure everyone learnt one thing from me then it would be to understand the inextricable link between being positive and being happy, and how they are required as two equal parts in the recipe for a successful life.
If reading those three sentences makes you feel confused, don't worry. It was supposed to. I say that being positive makes you happy, but if being happy makes you positive then don't you just find yourself traveling around in a big circle? And which comes first - the happiness or the positivity? This is what I call "The Positive Happiness Paradox".
The Positive Happiness Paradox
Without delving too deeply for now (this is just the introduction after all) the crux of the paradox is that both positivity and happiness must exist and work together in equal parts in order to be successful.
Either aspect, happiness or positivity, on its own will fail unless supported by an equal part of the other. You cannot be unhappy and positive, or happy and negative.
Have you ever been angry, sad, or depressed but tried to break out of that mood by forcing yourself to think and be positive? Hard isn't it? That is because the link between your happiness (or lack of) and positivity is so strong that your negative mood was fighting against your positive mindset. These battles are tough to win, but the good news is that once you start fighting your negativity they become easier to win. The even better news is that over the coming weeks I will show you how to do it.
